Legal metrology and arranging a research laboratory and calibration laboratory
The objective of the course is providing participants with knowledge concerning
- key metrology terms and concepts used in legal acts regarding measurements; legal requirements concerning certification and research that apply on the EU market and national provisions in this area
- organization of the quality management system in research and calibration laboratories with particular consideration of technical aspects of the laboratory operations and skills of developing procedures for tests, measurements, calibration and the procedure of acquiring accreditation by these laboratories

- Directives of the European Parliament and European Council that regulate placing of products on the European market concerning general safety of products, low voltage electrical equipment, electromagnetic compatibility and measuring instruments
- The act on conformity assessment system and market surveillance and the act on measures
- Regulations of the President of Central Office of Measures concerning measuring instruments, type approval and legalization.
- Basic procedures for product certification
