Prerequisites

General knowledge in the field of low-voltage switching technology, binary technology and automation of drives. To perform sample programs and parameterization, you must know the TIA Portal environment at least at a basic level.

Day 1

Principles of designing motor branches
- Compliance with IEC standards and European directives.
- Types of grounding systems.
- Degree of protection of enclosures.
- Selectivity and trigger classes.
- Coordination types and usage categories.
- Motor branch protection.
- IE3 class motors.
- Engine start and types of starting systems.
- Device selection tables.
- Modern supporting tools.

Intelligent starters
- Structure of the SIMOCODE pro system.
- Communication possibilities.

Day 2

Starting a branch with SIMOCODE pro
- Reset to factory settings.
- Putting the device into test mode (standard functions).
- Emergency start of the drive and key combination (standard functions, logic modules).
- Implementation of the flip-flop (standard functions, logic modules).
- Activation of the test mode using a flip-flop (standard functions, logic modules).
- Signalling of current limit values (standard functions, logic modules).
- Restoration of branch operation after a power failure (self-monitoring, standard functions, logic modules).

Laboratory

Training rooms and laboratories – air-conditioned, large, and spacious. Workstations for trainees are professionally equipped. Individual work of participants is our priority, so we provide each trainee with a fully equipped training station exclusively for their use.

All workstations are equipped with INDIVIDUAL computer stations with TIA Portal software.

The main element of the training consists of 2-PERSON TRAINING KITS – 5 kits in the laboratory. These are the most advanced Simocode pro controller configuration simulators in Europe. The kits include the following components.

SIMOCODE System – Intelligent motor control:

SIMOCODE PRO V base unit – motor controller, supports PROFINET, OPC UA, web server.
Current transformer modules – measurement of current and voltage up to 690V.
SIMOCODE operator panel – for monitoring and control.
Expansion modules – additional digital inputs/outputs and safety modules.
Memory module – saves and transfers parameters without a computer.
System cabling – connections between SIMOCODE unit and modules.

Soft starters (motor starts):

SIRIUS soft starter – facilitates smooth motor start (5.5 kW/400 V, internal delta 11 kW).
PROFINET communication module – enables integration of the soft starter with the control system.
Fan cover – cooling element for soft starters.

Electrical protection components:

SITOR fuse – fast-acting fuse for circuit protection against short circuits, GS class, 25A, 690V AC.
Fuse switch disconnector – for disconnecting electrical circuits, NH000, 3-pole, 160A, 690V AC.
Motor circuit breakers – protect motors from overload and short circuit, thermal and magnetic releases.

Contacts and contactors:

Contactors – components for controlling electric motors, 24V DC, 5.5 kW and 11 kW, 400V AC.
Surge protection module – protects contactors against surges.
Connection modules and wiring kits – provide electrical and mechanical connections for breakers/contactors.

Control and signaling elements (buttons, indicators):

Illuminated control buttons SIRIUS ACT – red, green, white, 22mm, metal, self-resetting.
Emergency stop button – red “mushroom” type, mechanical lock.
Signaling buzzer – 4.5 kHz sound, IP69, 24V AC/DC.
LED blocks and auxiliary contacts – red, green, white indicator LEDs, auxiliary contacts NO/NC.

During each training day, participants receive:

Unlimited access to the Cechownia Cafe coffee bar, serving tea and high-quality freshly ground coffee. The bar is equipped with:
- NECTO Karisma - a professional espresso machine of Italian production.
- THERMOPLAN BW 4 - a professional espresso machine made in Switzerland.
These are coffee machines used in the best coffee shops. According to your taste, we serve unique types of coffee - Cappuccino, Espresso, Americano, Caffe Latte and Turkish coffee. Training participants can also use unlimited sparkling and still water, juices and sweets.

Two-course dinner - a combination of traditional, home-made flavors with meals served in restaurants.

Until 4:00 PM in the cafe on the first floor you can also buy fresh sandwiches, cakes, sweet and salty snacks and cold drinks. After training - from 4:00 PM - we invite you to try the delicious dishes of the Cechownia Restaurant, prepared by the best chefs in Gliwice.
