More information
Definition and classification of electric motors and generators used in the energy industry
General structure of electrical machines
Electric machine and energy conversion system
Physical phenomena used to build electric motors and generators
Construction, basic models in the form of equivalent diagrams for calculating electrical parameters in various operating states, properties of various types of electrical machines used in the power industry (asynchronous and synchronous machines, permanent magnet machines, reluctance machines, and DC motors and special machines)
Day 2
Electromagnetic-thermal models of medium- and high-power electric motors and generators used in computer-aided design systems and modern work monitoring and online diagnostics systems
Turbogenerators in coal-fired, gas-fired, biomass-based and nuclear power plants - selected problems related to operation in power systems with a high share of renewable energy sources (increased failure rate, adaptation of the structure and method of operation to regulatory operation with frequent shutdowns)
Operation of high-power motors in difficult environmental conditions (including those operating in mine undergrounds), microprocessor protection of electric motors (determination of thermal time constants for heating and cooling of the motor for thermal protection settings)
Day 3
Possibilities of using synchronous compensators derived from the conversion of turbogenerators from decommissioned coal units to ensure the required quality of electricity and operational safety of the power system (need to develop a new paid service by the power system operator provided using a synchronous compensator)
Electric generators used in wind farms - classification, operation in the power system
Examples of the use of electrical machines digital twins in modern online monitoring and diagnostic systems to reduce failure rates, extend service life and improve operational safety
Summary – current and future areas of use of electric motors and generators in the energy industry
In addition to the substantive aspect, the comfort of our training participants is very important to us. We provide students with a climatic cafe and restaurant space, which is a place for refreshments and relaxation during breaks. We invite you to use the coffee bar and the modern massage chair!
During each training day, participants receive:
Unlimited access to the Cechownia Cafe coffee bar, serving tea and high-quality freshly ground coffee. The bar is equipped with:
NECTO Karisma - a professional espresso machine of Italian production.
THERMOPLAN BW 4 - a professional espresso machine made in Switzerland.
These are coffee machines used in the best coffee shops. According to your taste, we serve unique types of coffee - Cappuccino, Espresso, Americano, Caffe Latte and Turkish coffee. Training participants can also use unlimited sparkling and still water, juices and sweets.
Two-course dinner - a combination of traditional, home-made flavors with meals served in restaurants.
Until 4:00 PM in the cafe on the first floor you can also buy fresh sandwiches, cakes, sweet and salty snacks and cold drinks. After training - from 4:00 PM - we invite you to try the delicious dishes of the Cechownia Restaurant, prepared by the best chefs in Gliwice.
