Course aim:

After completing the training, the participant:

Has practical skills in selected techniques for the production of composite materials - infusion, RTM, spray-up, application of gel coats by spray and manual method and processing of fiber preimpregnates
Has practical knowledge of the molds construction for the production of composites, the construction of individual machines and devices, as well as the basics of service of devices used in the processing of composites
Has knowledge in the field of testing the strength parameters of resins and composite materials
Has practical knowledge of the qualitative analysis of composites and resins - determination of the heat deflection temperature (HDT) and basic strength parameters

Ogólna wiedza techniczna. Ukończenie kursu KP1: Materiały kompozytowe chemo- i termoutwardzalne - wprowadzenie do tematyki chemii polimerów, właściwości kompozytów i metod ich wytwarzania lub wiedza z tego zakresu.

Course program

Day 1	Discussion of the health and safety rules for the use of laboratories and training rooms as well as the rules for the safe use of equipment and machines during classes in laboratories intended for the course ‘Practical methods of manufacturing and evaluation of chemically hardened composite materials’ Presentation of the training program ‘Practical methods of manufacturing and evaluation of chemically hardened composite materials’ Production of composites by manual lamination, vacuum bag, infusion and light-RTM methods Analysis of composite manufacturing processes based on the work performed, discussion of methods and production errors Applying gel coats by hand - overview of the process and analysis of errors
Day 2	Production of composites by spraying with the use of an applicator (during the training, students will practice applying gel coats and spraying resin with fiber on the surface of the mold) Discussion of the construction, principles of operation and maintenance of equipment for spraying resins and gel coats Production of composites based on fiber preimpregnates using the non-autoclave method. Detailed description of the process rules
Day 3	Analysis of physicochemical and mechanical properties of resins and composites Determination of basic physicochemical parameters of resins (viscosity, density, castability), reactivity (determination of gelation times, pot life, exothermic peak, etc.) Determination of basic strength parameters (bending strength, tensile strength, impact strength) along with the temperature of deflection under load - HDT Determination of the glass transition temperature and crosslinking energy using a differential scanning calorimeter - DSC

These are coffee machines used in the best coffee shops. According to your taste, we serve unique types of coffee - Cappuccino, Espresso, Americano, Caffe Latte and Turkish coffee. Training participants can also use unlimited sparkling and still water, juices and sweets.

Two-course dinner - a combination of traditional, home-made flavors with meals served in restaurants.

Until 4:00 PM in the cafe on the first floor you can also buy fresh sandwiches, cakes, sweet and salty snacks and cold drinks. After training - from 4:00 PM - we invite you to try the delicious dishes of the Cechownia Restaurant, prepared by the best chefs in Gliwice.
