Knows the advantages and disadvantages of proportional control techniques
Has knowledge of the design and operation of proportional pressure and flow rate control systems of the working medium
Has knowledge of proportional positioning in pneumatics, including automatic control elements using PID controllers

Prerequisites

Computer skills. Completting the course P1: Pneumatics - basic course and P2: Industrial Electropneumatics or knowledge of the subject matter of both trainings (knowledge of pneumatic and electro-pneumatic drives, including basic control elements - valves and actuators; reading diagrams of pneumatic and electro-pneumatic systems).

Introductory information on proportional pneumatics systems
- Properties of the working medium in terms of practical application
- Basic advantages and disadvantages of proportional pneumatic systems
- Standards for analog voltage and current signals (division, comparison, advantages and disadvantages)
- Control systems with feedback loops
- Graphic symbols of proportional pneumatics elements
- Examples of tasks using software and real systems
Controls in proportional systems, including valves
- Controlling the compressed air flow rate
- Controlling the pressure value
- Combined (possibility of combining the above functions)
Safety rules for working with compressed air
Construction and operation of proportional control systems on practical examples
- Force control in pneumatic actuators
- Speed control of pneumatic tools
- Adjusting the pressure or flow rate in paint guns
- Pneumatic positioning
- Active vibration damping
Introductory information on the principles of operation of PID controllers

Practical exercises - simulation, construction and verification of the operation of proportional pneumatic systems using training assembly stations, including

WORKSTATIONS OF INDUSTRIAL PNEUMATICS

The workstations have a unique and Poland’s only design enabling exercises on different levels of advancement. They feature the following elements:

actuating systems: single and double acting actuators, rodless linear actuators, grippers, multi-position shuttle tables with cushioning device, standardized multi-position actuators
directional 3/2, 5/2, 5/3 valves (manually, mechanically, pneumatically or electrically activated)
check and throttle check valves, quick exhaust valves, throttle valves, reduction valves, safety valves
logic valves
pneumatic time valves and pneumo-electrical transmitters
vacuum technology elements
sensors (optical, inductive, capacitive)

ULTRASONIC LEAK DETECTOR

During our training courses, we also demonstrate operation of the leak detector for pneumatic installations. The device that we use is Leakshooter – ultrasonic leak detector with the embedded camera.

It enables leak detection of any pressurised gas. Perfect also for vacuum installations. The camera enables finding precise location of leak thanks to the color coded indicator. It is possible to take a photo of the leak location and then download it to your PC for further use.

Laboratory of Pneumatics dedicated for trainings at Client’s site

Apart from the open courses organized in our offices, we also offer a selection of courses in pneumatics and electropneumatics organized at our clients’ premises. These trainings are characterized by:

a training scheme based on the individually chosen topics and tailored course materials
in-depth analysis of the hydraulic diagrams provided by the client
practical exercises on the industrial components
exercises with the machines and systems from client’s production hall

We have our own car fleet and mobile units for basic exercises and individual assembly of the systems. Their sophisticated design and specially arranged functionality enable the realization of top quality training outside the EMT-Systems laboratory of industrial pneumatics.

Catering

In addition to the substantive aspect, the comfort of our training participants is very important to us. We provide students with a climatic cafe and restaurant space, which is a place for refreshments and relaxation during breaks. We invite you to use the coffee bar and the modern massage chair!

During each training day, participants receive:

Unlimited access to the Cechownia Cafe coffee bar, serving tea and high-quality freshly ground coffee. The bar is equipped with:
- NECTO Karisma - a professional espresso machine of Italian production.
- THERMOPLAN BW 4 - a professional espresso machine made in Switzerland.
These are coffee machines used in the best coffee shops. According to your taste, we serve unique types of coffee - Cappuccino, Espresso, Americano, Caffe Latte and Turkish coffee. Training participants can also use unlimited sparkling and still water, juices and sweets.

Two-course dinner - a combination of traditional, home-made flavors with meals served in restaurants.

Until 4:00 PM in the cafe on the first floor you can also buy fresh sandwiches, cakes, sweet and salty snacks and cold drinks. After training - from 4:00 PM - we invite you to try the delicious dishes of the Cechownia Restaurant, prepared by the best chefs in Gliwice.
