Moduł Gateway

Moduł zarządzający, łączący wszystkie moduły systemu Siemens PLM NX. Umożliwia wykonywanie podstawowych operacji takich jak, otwieranie istniejących plików z częściami, tworzenie nowych plików.

Umożliwia zarządzanie poszczególnymi warstwami rysunku, definiowanie widoków i konfigurowanie obrazu na ekranie, kontrolę wyświetlania zawierającą ukrywanie obiektów oraz dostęp do systemu pomocy. Moduł zawiera także arkusz kalkulacyjny który umożliwia budowanie rodzin elementów oraz zarządzanie nimi i związkami między parametrami różnych części. Moduł umożliwia także analizowanie zamodelowanych elementów pod względem masy, analizowanie wymiarów, oraz określanie typów krzywych.

Moduł Modeling

Moduł służący do modelowania elementów 2D oraz 3D, zastosowaniem narzędzia szkicownika (Sketch) oraz metody opartej na obiektach (feature based method).

Nadawane są w nim cechy geometryczne, funkcyjne, fizyczne. Do modułu można importować szkice lub modele z innych programów CAD. Elementy tworzone w module modeling wykorzystywane są w późniejszych fazach projektów do złożonych analiz w modułach takich jak Assemblies, Motion simulation, Advanced simulation itp.

Siemens PLM NX system is characterized by modular design, client may configure the system according to individual needs and potentially expand its possibilities with extra modules if need be. The entire system may be configures as “Bundle” – license package as a unit (implementing one of the modules blocks the wntire package) or licences floating in a net (licenses function in the net as single independent modules); it is alos possible to implement single module without blocking the remaining ones.
