Laboratory
Training takes place in the automation and process measurement laboratory, where participants have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with industrial automation devices in the field of measurement, control and recording.
The available devices allow for learning about different types of temperature sensors and force, pressure and displacement transducers. Participants also gain knowledge about flow measurement methods, using, among others, rotametric, electromagnetic, turbine and ultrasonic flowmeters.
In addition, the training includes techniques for measuring the level of liquids and bulk materials and the principles of selecting sensors for specific applications.
- Electromagnetic flowmeter – enabling flow simulation and detection of empty and full pipes
- Various types of level probes – enabling demonstration of, among others, the advantages of a ceramic membrane compared to a stainless steel membrane, various methods of connecting the atmospheric pressure tube and types of process connections (open, closed)
- Ultrasonic flowmeter with power supply – enabling simple configuration via Bluetooth using the JUMO app on a smartphone
- Float level detectors – used for precise monitoring of liquid levels
- Wtrans p – wireless pressure transmitters
- Thermostats for panel mounting
- Compact microprocessor controllers
- Surface resistance thermometers
- Sheathed thermocouples with leads according to DIN 43 710 and DIN EN 60 584
Software
For HART communication, spreadsheet - Excel
