Visual assessment of bonded joints









Course Aim:
After completing the training, the participant:- Recognizes and classifies welding imperfections in accordance with the PN-EN ISO 6520 standard and knows their causes
- Knows non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, including visual testing (VT), ultrasonic testing (UT), radiographic testing (RT), penetrant testing (PT), tightness testing, and magnetic particle testing (MT)
- Performs visual assessment of welds (VT) in accordance with the PN-EN ISO 9712, 5817, and 13919 standards
- Selects appropriate equipment for visual testing and knows its capabilities and limitations
- Interprets test results and creates correct visual test reports in accordance with the normative requirements
Target Group:
The training is intended for welders, quality controllers, welding inspectors, and engineers and technologists involved in the supervision of welding processes. It is addressed to both people with experience in welding and those who want to gain or expand their knowledge of visual weld assessment methods in accordance with applicable standards. The training will be particularly useful for people preparing for certification as a visual testing inspector (VT).Course type
